After one year of touring the world as Lana del Rey warm-up band (a tour that suspiciously followed the schedule of Joan Jett Conventions around the globe), the boys had a vision.
The Tulsa gig had been a blast, high on adrenaline the boys drove to a deserted place. Local groupies and mezcal were consulted. The sky was full of stars, crickets made an enveloping drone. A sense of achievement was reached. Then, out of the blue, and bathed in white light, the real Joan Jett casually appeared and said, “Hi guys, why’re doing this?”.
They all replied as one.
Of course, they know why they’re doing this, they’re not called the Joan Jett Fan Club for no reason: they’re doin’ it for the kids.
She nodded in approval.
What happened next has not been documented.
